Compta/IBM’s innovative solutions implemented in the Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Abrantes for the urban waste collection management are now on permanent display at the IBM Watson IoT Center’s Industry Lab in Munich. These solutions include two platforms: Compta – Bee2Waste –, and IBM – Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) –, running on the IBM Cloud.
For Jorge Delgado, CEO of Compta Group, “we are very excited to have our technology, designed and developed at Compta, at the IBM Watson IoT Center. We are present with concrete cases, projects already implemented in Lisbon and Abrantes to show the world our capacity and to transmit a concrete message: that we can improve the Environment, optimize costs and increase the way we live in cities by using technology as a lever for the development and construction of more “happy” and sustainable cities.
Government agencies, municipalities and waste collection companies that visit the Watson Center can now learn, from real-world implementation cases, how Compta and IBM’s innovation and technology are helping cities become smarter, cleaner and more efficient.
In the area dedicated to “waste collection management”, the demo includes “intelligent planning of collection circuits’” and “monitoring and analysis of containers fill levels”. These solutions offer better levels of service at reduced costs, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment.
It is worth mentioning that this center receives visitors every day from all over the world who are presented with the technologies that are shaping our future.
