Portugal 2020 is the Partnership Agreement between Portugal and the European Commission, which brings together the five European Structural and Investment Funds – ERDF, Cohesion Fund, ESF, EAFRD and FEAMP – in which are defined the programming principles that enshrine the economic, social and territorial development policy to promote in Portugal between 2014 and 2020.

These programming principles are aligned with Intelligent, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, pursuing the Europe 2020 Strategy.

It is in this alignment that Compta Emerging Business is executing a set of projects:

Project number 2152 – SMEs’ Internationalization

Individual project developed by Compta – Emerging Business, S.A., financed by € 122,843.25 by the ERDF under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program, contracted with the Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade, E.P.E. (AICEP), with a total unreadable investment of € 272,985.00; and with an implementation period from 2015-07-01 to 2017-06-30.

This program aims to strengthen the company’s entrepreneurial capacity for internationalization, with a view to promoting increased exports.


Project number 10495 – R&D

Individual project developed by Compta – Emerging Business, S.A., financed by the ERDF under the Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization, contracted with the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, I.P. (IAPMEI), with a total unreadable investment of € 866,165.55; and with an implementation period of 2015-09-01 to 2017-08-31.

This program aims to strengthen research, technological development and innovation.

The project “Waste to Value – A new waste management paradigm” aims to develop a new solution for the management of the selective collection of solid urban waste that guarantees a highly efficient process, with lower costs for the parties involved and, the way it is currently managed, namely moving from a process focused on “waste disposal” to a process totally focused on “waste recycling”.


Project number 17888 – R&D – Companies in co-promotion

Co-promotion project developed by Compta Emerging Business, S.A., together with Algaplus – Production and Marketing of Algae and its derivatives, Lda; Domática – Global solutions, S.A.; Polytechnic Institute of Leiria; Polytechnic Institute of Tomar and Tagusvalley – Association for the promotion and development of Tagus Valley Technopole.

The total unreadable investment of the project is 1,668,323.90 €, of which 725,004.40 € belong to the leading company of the project – Compta Emerging Business., SA.

This project, called Aquatropolis, approved a total funding of € 1,233,046.55 by the ERDF under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program; contracted with the National Innovation Agency (ANI). The incentive amount attributed to the leading company was € 519,133.35.

The execution period is 2016-09-01 to 2019-08-31.

Aquatropolis aims to develop a disruptive solution that allows management, control and operation, intelligent, optimized and automated, to enhance the sustainable development of aquaculture in the countries in the Atlantic Basin.


Project number 34369 – SMEs’ Qualification and Innovation

Individual Project developed by Compta Emerging Business, S.A., financed by € 329,132.25 by the ERDF, under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program, contracted with the Competitiveness and Innovation Agency, I.P. (IAPMEI), with a total unreadable investment of € 731,405.00; and with an implementation period from 2018-04-01 to 2020-03-30.

This program has the objective of granting support to the promotion and competitive qualification, introducing significant changes to the internal organization and the way of relationship with the outside world.


Project SAICT-POL / 23577/2016 – R&D – Companies in co-promotion

Co-promotion project developed by Compta Emerging Business, S.A., jointly with the Polytechnic Institute of Porto; INESC TEC – Institute of Systems Engineering and Computers, Technology and Science.

The total eligible investment of the project is € 134,713.61, of which € 29,451.38 belongs to the co-promoter – Compta Emerging Business, SA.

This project, called 3SLM – Intelligent System for the Management of Public Lighting, approved a total financing of € 111,561.43 by the Directive Commission of the North Regional Operational Program, in the component financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds (FEEI). and the Foundation for Science and Technology, IP, in the component financed by the State Budget; contracted with the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. The incentive amount attributed to the leading entity (Instituto Politécnico do Porto) was € 75,395.75. The incentive amount attributed to Compta Emerging Business was € 22,088.53.

The execution period is 2017-08-10 to 2019-02-05.

3SLM aims to develop an intelligent energy management system in the form of a decision support system. It will integrate several data sources, to be able to identify and define how to act in different sources of energy consumption, in order to guarantee its optimization and proper management. It will automate routine tasks and improve human decision making. The objective is to provide a market solution that allows the reduction of energy costs and, on the other hand, a more efficient and correct management of equipment costs, while maintaining the safety and comfort of drivers and pedestrians. Significant impacts are expected at the economic, environmental and social levels.
